Welcome to the University Libraries Archival Collections Guides

The Libraries are home to archival collections you can't find anywhere else. Specializing in Northern Nevada, the Basque Diaspora, and the Great Basin, we offer over 3,000 unique primary source collections that together make up about 3 miles of papers, 1 million photographs, and over 12 million digital objects.

About this Site

Use these guides to explore our manuscript, photograph, and maps collections. Materials in these guides come from the Special Collections and University Archives Department, the Jon Bilbao Basque Library, and the DeLaMare Science & Engineering Library. When requesting materials, please take note of the collection and home repository.

The contact information for each repository is listed in the collection guides.

Searching the Guides

The guides contain a wealth of information about the collections preserved by the University Libraries. Users can search the guides by keyword and filter their results by subjects, names, and dates.

The guides also allow users to browse subjects and names.

Archival collections are historical materials and as such may include content reflecting various forms of oppression, trauma, or violence which reflect the perspectives and activities of those that created and participated in them. They are held by the archives as historical records of the time in which they were created or kept.
