Abstract

The Board of Regents was established by the Nevada State Constitution in 1864 with the first Board created in 1865. The Board is responsible for the governance of the institutions comprising the Nevada System of Higher Education. Records consist of agendas, minutes, and materials submitted during Board meetings and used by the secretary of the Board to prepare the final minutes, including Nevada System of Higher Education budget reports.

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Governing Board Records

Abstract

Prior to 1993, the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension was managed by a Steering Committee, comprised entirely of administrators. In 1997, the Extension Governing Board was established by a vote of all employees with an appointment of at least halftime. The Governing Board is statewide and comprised of administrators, faculty and staff. The collection consists of correspondence, its operational procedures, a membership roster, and printouts of PowerPoint presentations.
