Abstract Early in the history of the Nevada State University, the College of Arts and Science had a Department of Education, which eventually became the School of Education. The School of Education assumed administrative responsibility for the Correspondence Study Department in 1950. The University of Nevada's School of Education became the College of Education in 1953.
