Abstract Nevada, one of fifty was a series of radio programs produced by the University of Nevada, Reno, as part of the U.S. Bicentennial celebration, which explored various aspects of the state: history, politics, immigrants, Native Americans, government, ghost towns, art, and some individuals. George Herman, professor of English at the University of Nevada, was the most frequent host but every show featured a different guest. Abstract In 1993, University of Nevada, Reno head football coach Chris Ault stepped down and named assistant Jeff Horton to replace him. Five months after taking over as head coach, Horton left to lead the University of Nevada, Las Vegas team, and Ault again became coach for UNR. The game was played at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas before 21,000 fans, and pitted Ault against his former assistant. UNR lost the game to UNLV, 32-27.
