Overview David Walker Hayes attended the University of Nevada, 1896-1900. He was a resident of Lincoln Hall Dormitory, and participated in athletics and various student societies. Robert M. Brambila was a 1897 graduate from the University. The collection contains university memorabilia: room and board receipts, athletic and theatrical programs, and photographs. Included is copy of letter to Hayes from Robert M. Brambila, while Brambila was in the Philippine Islands, June 8, 1899.

His research specialization was the history of Nevada and the American West, Russian and modern European social and intellectual history, and was author of a University of Nevada history.
