Abstract Lawlor Events Center is an 11,536-seat multi-purpose arena in Reno, Nevada, located at the intersection of North Virginia Street and 15th Street on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. It was built in 1983 and named in honor of University of Nevada alumnus, coach, and Athletic Director Glenn "Jake" Lawlor. It is home to the Nevada Wolf Pack basketball team. Abstract Walter Danforth Bliss was born in Nevada on August 23, 1872, the second youngest child of Duane Leroy Bliss, Sr. and Elizabeth T. Tobey Bliss. His father co-founded the Carson and Tahoe Lumber and Fluming Company in 1873. Walter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in about 1895 and worked as a draftsman with McKim, Mead and White Architects in New York, New York, from 1895-1898.
