Frank R. Brotherton was a county clerk of Nye County, Nevada. Brotherton's letters to General R.P. Keating discuss the appointment of a postmaster for Belmont, Nevada; establishment of a post office at Pahrump, Nevada; and politics involved with both decisions. Dates range from 1895-1896.
John I. Ginn Correspondence
This letter from Ginn to "Friend Keating" [R. P. Keating] on letterhead of the Daily and weekly Bodie standard newspaper describes a rich strike of gold ore at the Summit Mine in Bodie. Ginn confirms the strike and William Irwin's assessment of it (Irwin was superintendent of the Summit and the Standard, Bulwer, and Double Standard mines).
