Biography
Linda White is an alumna of the University of Nevada, Reno, who was on the staff of the University Libraries before becoming a member of the Center for Basque Studies faculty. She authored and edited several books about the Basque language and culture, and served as Chair of the Women's Studies Board.

Abstract
Women's Studies was an interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Science. Established in 1978, the program provided students with a fuller understanding of the nature and role of women, along with their contributions to civilization, through academic study.
