Gracey's speech before the Reno Twentieth Century Club describes his arrival in Nevada to fight the Paiutes; lists many of the "firsts" in Virginia City such as first death, bank, theater, etc., and mentions executions, explosions, fires, amusements, benevolent societies, processions, and people of note.
