Scope and Contents
LeBlanc's account of U. S. military service, 1857-1859 was taken from his unsuccessful petition for a military pension. He recounts details of the events surrounding the Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857, U. S. Army campaigns against the Mormons in Utah, and his departure from the Army for the Comstock Lode Nevada in 1859.
