Group 9, Series 2 is comprised of audio recordings by attorney John O'Connell, who served as lead attorney for Carrie and Mary Dann in the trespass case, and co-attorney for the Western Shoshone National Council in their pursuit to refute the Indian Claims Commission (ICC) judgment in the case of the Western Shoshone land claims. The audio recordings come in two formats, audiocassettes and micro-cassettes. The subject matter relates to ICC meetings, Western Shoshone distribution meetings concerning discussions on distributing the monies from the ICC case, recordings from the Dann's and Western Shoshone media coverage, and Mr. O'Connell's communications with a colleague.

Audio cassettes are arranged in chronological order, followed by the self-contained micro-cassettes. Please note that the second audio cassette (2013-10/9/2/2) is inoperable, but has been retained, prospectively for future attention and repair. Additionally, the micro-cassette of John O'Connell and Joe Membrino, May 16, 1979 (2013-10/9/2/8), has a telephone transcription found in 2013-10/3/1/37.
