Series 1: Personal, 1931-2012
Scope and Contents
Series 1 consists of materials accumulated by Yoakum throughout his personal and professional life. The materials are mostly related to aspects of Yoakum's personal life, but also include materials that pertain to his profession as a wildlife biologist. It would have been nearly impossible to entirely separate the two because Yoakum's profession attributed so greatly to his lifestyle and identity. While many of these materials were gathered and saved for personal reasons, most have significance that relates to Yoakum's professional career.
