From the Series: Series 4 consists of materials related to the Nugget's legal dispute spanning nearly a decade with the Bar and Culinary Union. This includes a lawsuit filed on behalf of the Union and the Nugget's subsequent appeals and petitions regarding court-ordered bargaining. Documents include internal materials from the Nugget regarding their response to the Union and materials distributed by the Union to its members and potential members.

This series represents the events leading up to the hearing, the Union's boycott of the Nugget, which included resolutions from other unions outside of the state, and the hearing and subsequent decision. Materials include internal documents regarding union organizers and organizing in and around Reno, correspondence, newsletters and flyers distributed by the Union, documents from the case and hearing involving Local 86 and the Nugget, newspaper clippings, and articles on labor disputes in the casino industry.
