Series 27: Survey Books, 1916-1933
Scope and Contents
Series 27 includes 53 survey books that were compiled by Smith before he began work as a Nevada state engineer and possibly while working for the Nevada Bureau of Mines. Books are listed in location/date order. Locations are roughly given and some are unknown. The known locations cover Nevada, California, and Oregon, and are grouped together in that order. The survey books span the years 1916-1933 and are handwritten mainly in pencil. Some books have range, township, and sections numbers indicated.
