Series 1, Subseries 1: Legislative Files

Scope and Contents

The Legislative Files consists of material accumulated by Senator Richard Bryan's legislative and office assistants in his Washington, D. C. office. These files represent the legislative activities of Senator Bryan during his two terms (1989-2001) as United States Senator for Nevada. The files correspond to Senator Bryan's role as a member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee (1989-2001); Commerce Science and Transportation Committee (1989-2001); Joint Economic Committee (1989-1994); Select Committee on Ethics (1995-1996); Select Committee on Intelligence (1993-2001); Armed Services Committee (1995-1996); and Finance Committee (1997-2001) along with their various subcommittees. They also express the intersection of national legislation and issues with Senator Bryan's responsibilities toward his Nevada constituents.
