Scope and Contents
The Yahooskin (Northern Paiute) Oral History Interviews contains interviews with Irwin Weiser, a Klammath Falls, Oregon, Northern Paiute Yahooskin speaker, copies of field note books by Thornes, and an index to the tapes. Weiser speaks of the Yahooskin language, culture, lifeways, myths and tales, history, and relation of the Yahooskin to other southern Oregon, northern Nevada, and northeastern California tribes.

Administrative History
Tim Thornes was a graduate student in Linguistics at the University of Oregon whose field work was completed among the Yahooskin of the Northern Paiute Indians in southeastern Oregon. This work was supported by a grant from the Sven Liljeblad Foundation.

The collection contains interviews with Irwin Weiser a Klammath Falls, Oregon, Northern Paiute Yahooskin speaker, and copies of fieldnote books by Thornes. Weiser speaks of the Yahooskin language, culture, lifeways, myths and tales, history, and relation of the Yahooskin to other southern Oregon, northern Nevada, and northeastern California tribes.
