Scope and Contents
In this manuscript of her book by the same title, Patterson recounts her childhood days; married life with her rancher husband, John Malcolm Patterson, in the Lamoille, Nevada, area; descriptions of Elko, Nevada; her work as an historian and author; and the establishment of the Northeastern Nevada Historical Society. Patterson also writes about her husband's family, descendants of John McComas Dorsey, Chauncey Norman Noteware, and Webster Samuel Patterson, early Nevada settlers.
