Scope and Contents

The Bullion and Exchange Bank Records include two volumes of manuscript drafts written by the Bullion and Exchange Bank on the Anglo-California Bank of San Francisco, 1890-1891; one volume of daily statements, 1896-1899; one ledger, 1896-1899; and 7 folders of invoices and correspondence, 1877-1931. The correspondence comes from Inyo and Mono Counties, California; Eureka, Gold Hill, Silver City, Winnemucca, Lovelock, Yerington, Elko County, and White Pine County.

Administrative History

This Bullion and Exchange Bank of Carson City was established in 1875 as the Carson City Savings Bank. In 1902 the Bullion and Exchange Bank was renamed the State Bank and Trust Company; in 1907 it failed.
