Scope and Contents

The Emminger Family Recordings consist of interviews of Mr. William Glenn Emminger and Mrs. Tracy Hartsough Emminger by Willard F. Day. This includes discussions on Rochester, Tonopah, and Unionville, Nevada; Jack (Andrew Jackson) Longstreet's anti-union activities and other stories; Rawhide Jack Davis; and on Mrs. Emminger's father, Louis C. Hartsough and his tales of General George A. Custer.

Biographical Note

William Glenn Emminger (1888-1971) was a miner, who worked in Rochester, Tonopah, Tungsten, and Mina, Nevada; appointed to fill unexpired state Senate term for Pershing County, 1955, and member of the Nevada Industrial Commission, 1957-1961.

Tracy H. Emminger was born in 1898. Her father was Louis C. Hartsough. She died in 1982.
