Administrative History

Comstock Lode claim of 1859 was 1040 feet long, between the Overman and Crown Point Mines. First work began in 1860; beginning in 1870 it was worked jointly with the Crown Point Mine and in 1873 with the Yellow Jacket Mine. In 1915 the three combined into the Jacket-Crown Point-Belcher Mines Company which in turn became part of the United Comstock Mining company in 1920.
