Administrative History

The Consortium was organized in 1972 and administered by the Lake Tahoe Area Council, with funding by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Their goals were to stimulate research applicable to the objectives of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), provide scientific support for TRPA's programs, and educate on needs and requirements of environmental protection.
