The collection contains transcribed newspaper articles collected from various historical newspapers regarding flumes, logging, fires, the Comstock, earthquakes, storms, and other historical events that have taken place in northern Nevada since the 1850s. Collection dates reflect the original newspaper article date, not the date that it was transcribed by Drake. No original newspaper clippings are found in the collection.
