Scope and Contents
The collection contains materials documenting Blanche and Robert's time at the University of Nevada. Included are documents from UNR, such as dance cards and event programs, and photographs, both loose and in an album, taken by Blanche and Robert. A vast majority of the photographs are of campus buildings and campus-related events. Additionally, there is a small amount of information from Robert's time in high school and some personal photographs from after college.

Biographical / Historical
Blanche (Parker) Bryant was born and raised in Goldfield, Nevada in 1924. She graduated from Goldfield High School in 1942 and enrolled at the University of Nevada studying Home Economics. Robert Bryant was born in Los Angeles, California in 1924. In the early 1930s, Robert's family relocated to southern Nevada where Robert's father worked construction on the Boulder (Hoover) Dam. Robert graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1942 and enrolled at the University of Nevada, studying Civil Engineering.
Soon after enrolling at the University, Robert enlisted in the Army Air Corps. After training, he was deployed to Italy where he served during the last year of World War II. During this time, Blanche continued studying and also worked at the Herlong Army Depot in munitions. In 1946, while in her senior year, Blanche and Robert met. They were married on June 11, 1949, at Our Lady of the Snows Church in Reno, Nevada.
