Administraitve History

Society organized in early 1950's with membership primarily composed of petroleum geologists based in Ely, Nevada. Activities included monthly meetings, field trips, symposia, and publications pertaining to the geology of eastern Nevada and western Utah. The society disbanded in 1975 after mining companies closed their regional offices.
