Biographical Note

Myram Borders, born May 21, 1936 in Kentucky, is an American journalist, a former United Press International reporter, and the wire service's Las Vegas bureau manager from 1965-1990. Upon retirement, she was appointed Nevada commissioner of consumer affairs and, after two years, in 1992 was named chief of the Las Vegas News Bureau, a post she held for a decade.

Myram Borders (1936- ) is an American journalist, former manager of the Las Vegas bureau of United Press International, and commissioner of the Nevada Commission of Consumer Affairs, 1991-1992. The collection contains scrapbooks which include photographs and newspaper clippings about California and Las Vegas, Nevada, produced while Borders was a commissioner of the Nevada Commission of Consumer Affairs.
