Anne Farrar Hyde was a student at Mt. Holyoke College who wrote a paper on the Comstock Lode, which is a lode of silver ore located under the eastern slope of Mount Davidson, a peak in the Virginia Range in Virginia City, Nevada. The collection includes a paper from 1982 on the Comstock Lode in Virginia City and the development of labor unions for miners by Hyde.
