Scope and Contents
Captain Welty sends a telegram from Austin, Nevada, to Nevada Governor Henry G. Blasdel requesting permission for the Sanders Guards to accompany Lt. Seamonds and his men on their expedition to fight Indians on the Humboldt River near Gravelly Bar [Ford], Eureka County. Welty also asks if the state can furnish supplies.

Biographical Note
