Raycraft Exchange Hotel Registers
Scope and Contents
The Raycraft Exchange Hotel Registers contain the names and addresses of daily guests and printed ads for businesses in the San Francisco Bay area of California. Additionally, the end plates of the 1893-1897 volume document Chinese and Indian labor used by the hotel. The 1890-1893 and 1897-1901 volumes contain notations of a number of traveling dramatic and musical companies.

Biographical / Historical
The Raycraft Exchange Hotel was owned by Richard Raycraft and Ellen (Quinlan) Raycraft, Richard's mother. The Raycraft family settled in Genoa by 1863 and established an early store and this hotel.
