Abstract

Acquired from various sources at various times. The Morrill Hall Bell plaque was transferred from the Alumni Association Records, AC 0343. Gifts to the University President were transferred from the Office of the President. The "Highest Achievement - Class of 1910" medal awarded to Audery Ohmert was transferred from the Cashier's Office in 2011. The collection contains objects dating from 1913 to the present related to University of Nevada, Reno history, traditions, events, organizations, athletics, and academic pursuits.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Acquired from various sources at various times. The Morrill Hall Bell plaque was transferred from the Alumni Association Records, AC 0343. Gifts to the University President were transferred from the Office of the President. The "Highest Achievement - Class of 1910" medal awarded to Audery Ohmert was transferred from the Cashier's Office in 2011. The campus sun dial was a gift of the Class of 1938 to the University. The bronze bust of children's author Eugene Field had been in the old library (Jones Visitor Center building) and the Clark Memorial Library. The baseball bat from Telcomm Services was transferred to Archives in August 2011. Alumna Beverly Boles' marching band drum sticks transferred to Archives in 2012. Interim President Charles Gorman's academic gown was donated in 2012 by his family. William Scott Nesbit's 1/2 Mile Relay medal (1925) was donated by Mildred Leavitt Nesbit's family in 2012, along with a bronze "N" on a leather strap, and a silver and blue "N" blanket, all transferred from the AC 0516 collection. The University Ceremonial Mace was transferred to Archives from the President's Office in December 2012. The "Seven Asyks" souvenir from the National Academy of the Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan was transferred from the Office of the President in 2013.

University staff contributed granite from the demolition of the Getchell Library building in January 2014. Presidential inauguration banners transferred from the President's Office in 2014. Class of 1960 alumnus Jarnail Dusanjh donated the textile of President John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy in May 2014.

Integrated Marketing transferred a UNR flag from the Clark Administration Building Phillips Conference Room in January 2015.
