Administrative History
THE FIVE is a secret organization of women student leaders at the University of Nevada, Reno. The group was organized during the 2008-09 academic year. Its first newsletter appeared around campus in May 2009. The mission of the group is to bring an objective perspective to campus issues and to help create a stronger and more united campus community. Whether to remain anonymous is determined by each member. The motto from the newsletter is: "V Chosen V Influential V Ambitious V Independent V Honest V We Watch. We Listen. We Know." They encourage students to be active in campus organizations and to be volunteers for off-campus non-profit organizations.
