Biographical Note

Theodore H. Post joined the department of music at the University of Nevada in 1927, and was prominent in organizing community musical events. He organized the Reno Civic Chorus and Orchestra, and began Reno's Christmas tradition of presenting Handel's The Messiah. He also composed music and wrote lyrics. Others providing lyrics for his compositions include Walter Van Tilburg Clark, Ray Hackett, Dorothy Mendenhall, Bertha Raffetto, and Una L. Stephens.
