Administrative History

The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) was established in 1915, to advance the ideals and standards of the academic profession. The purpose of the Nevada chapter, as stated in its 1956 constitution, was to consider any educational question or problem, either of general interest to the group or of special consideration to the University of Nevada, and to promote projects or policies of mutual benefit to the staff and to the University.
