Administrative History

The Women's Resource Center opened in September 1980 to provide a relaxing atmosphere in which women could meet, talk, study, and organize programs and events for both university and community women. Originally staffed by residents and volunteers, in 1984/85 the center received a budget from the university to help with programs. In 1984, a Director of Women's Programs position was created. The Center closed in 2001.
