Administrative History
The University and Community College System of Nevada, formerly University of Nevada System, is governed by an elected Board of Regents, and administered by a chancellor, who is responsible for administrative leadership. The chancellor's staff includes the vice-president for academic affairs, who serves as chief academic officer for the system and is responsible for the overall development, administration, coordination, and evaluation of academic programs and policies. The vice-chancellor also participates in fiscal planning as it relates to academic programs, instructional needs, research, public service, and requests for external funds. By 2000, the position had become Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Transferred by Terry Cabauatan, Academic Affairs Office, in 1999. A 2000 letter from Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs was found in an unprocessed folder of unrelated material in 2015.
