Scope and Contents

The Cronin Family Scrapbook contains one scrapbook that primarily includes newspaper clippings about Donald Cronin's participation in regional skiing events, along with some photographs. University memorabilia in the scrapbook include a Valentine invitation to the Winter Carnival Sno-Ball and a booklet for the Gamma Phi Beta Pledge Dance on October 10, 1958. The scrapbook also includes the directory for the Reno High School Class of "56" 45th Reunion that took place on August 2001.

Biographical Note

Donald B. Cronin was born on September 20, 1938 and was a member of the Reno Ski Club, participating in the Sky Tavern Mt. Rose Bowl in 1952. He graduated from Reno High School in 1956. He was a member of the University's varsity ski team from 1957-1959, and qualified for a Block N letter. He represented the Sigma Nu fraternity in interfraternity ski competitions and was also a member of the Sundowners. He married Kitty Humphrey in 1963 and joined the Humphrey Realty & Investment Company in 1968.

He died in Reno on March 21, 2002.
