Biographical / Historical

On June 15, 2005, a group of undergraduate University of Nevada, Reno students met and formed a secret society called The Order of the Sceptre. It is an honor society for exceptional men and women students, seeking a diverse membership representing many different perspectives. Its primary purpose is to serve the interests of undergraduate students at the university. It focuses on the sceptre as a symbol of protection for institutes of higher education and persons who are members of the communities within those institutions. The group distributed a newsletter called "Apathy is Dead" in November 2009.
