Mary Hill Campus Life Scrapbook
Scope and Contents
The Mary Hill Campus Life Scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, correspondence, and ephemera from Hill's time as a student at the University of Nevada from 1939-1942. Much of the ephemera documents activities in which Hill participated, including dances, football games, student government, the Wolves Frolic, theater productions hill attended, both on campus and Reno Little Theater productions, and especially Gamma Phi Beta sorority events. The newspaper clippings are primarily about friends and other campus activities.
In addition to the scrapbook, a smaller set of scrapbook pages that contain photographs from Hill's time at the university are included. These photographs primarily depict Hill and her friends around campus, including inside residence halls, outside campus buildings, and participating in activities such as the pep band, the "Blue Peppers." Many of the individuals in the photographs may have been members of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
