Biographical / Historical
Eugène Azpeitia was born in 1922 in Irisabarri, Nafarroa Beherea. He was a former Basque Resistance fighter who immigrated to the United States of America. Azpeitia was interested in the Basque language. He worked on several Basque dictionary drafts and participated in some Basque language projects. Azpeitia died in California in 1989.

Several Basque grammar, etymology and dictionary drafts, notebooks, photocopied articles regarding Basque issues, various booklets, tourism pamphlets and newspaper clippings. There are also 18 books written by numeous authors and on various subjects, mostly on Basque and French subjects.
