Biographical / Historical
Edorta Jimenez (1953, Mundaka) is a Basque writer who has published poetry, fiction and essays. He got a degree in Education with an emphasis in Basque language in the 1980s. In addition to publishing, he has written scripts for the Basque Public Television (ETB), has worked as a journalist for Egin, Gara, Egunkaria and Nabarra, has participated in several literary events and has worked as a translator. Nowadays, he works for the publisher house Txalaparta. He started publishing his poetry under the pen name of Omar Nabarro.
The collection in the Jon Bilbao Basque Library includes copies of the documentation that Edorta Jimenez used for writing his book Hemingway eta euskaldunak zerbitzu sekretuan.
