Biographical / Historical
The Anchordoquys are a family of Basque heritage living in California. One of the family members, Arnold R. Anchordoquy from Pacific Palisades, recalls the earthquake of 1994, called “The Northridge earthquake.”
The members of the Anchordoquy family collected several documents about Basques and Basque Americans. The collection includes booklets and press clippings about Basque festivals over California and Nevada. They were also interested in Basque cooking recipes and owned several guides and maps from France and the Pyrenees.
