Overview The collection consists primarily of materials created and/or used by Ford during her years as Nevada state legislator and during the operation of her businesses. Additional materials include personal papers, and course materials from her role as instructor in the Women’s Studies Program at UNR. A series which was added in 1996 contains materials about the many organizations and committees she has been involved with in her professional career.

Abstract The records consist of descriptions of the Archives project, correspondence, financial records; minutes of its Advisory Board, information about Jean Ford's activities in coordinating the project, survey responses concerning potential historical documents, and resources available in university libraries and other Nevada organizations supporting the history of women in Nevada. Of interest are two issues of the FEMNET Newsletter published by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Abstract Included is a letter from Ruth Glick to Jean Ford about the first organizational meeting of the Reno Women's Network, a survey form intended to provide direction to the organization, and a newsletter from June 1981.

Overview On January 16, 1997, under the auspices of the Nevada Women's History Project, twenty five women who attended the University during World War II and immediately after, 1939-1950, met and recalled the impact of the war on school and on their lives. The collection contais a video recording of the women speaking about her personal experiences, including dating, classes, rationing, housing, and war-related activities.
