Charles Greenhaw Papers

Overview Charles Greenhaw was a graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno, in the late 1960s. He was an assistant professor of English in Arkansas, an English instructor at Elko Community College in 1970, and commuted to Owyhee to teach English to Native Americans. He was affiliated with the Elko community college until 1991. The collection consists of Greenhaw's unpublished manuscript about the history of community colleges in Nevada called People's Colleges.

With the growth of two campuses and the Desert Research Institute, it divided the authority and responsibility between the chancellor and the presidents.
