The Land-Grant College Radio Hour was performed at the University of Nevada for the Association of Land-Grant Colleges and Universities, in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture and the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), on July 20, 1938. Mackay Day is an annual celebration held over a period of a week in honor of the Mackay family, early benefactors of the University.
