Abstract Six students organized the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, on December 26,1848. The fraternity's General Headquarters building is in Oxford, Ohio. Pledges are called Phikeias until they are initiated into full membership. The charter class of the Nevada Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Theta, consisting of 25 men, was initiated on April 21, 1972.
