Abstract The Douglas County Republican Women was a club established in Minden, Nevada in 1960 as part of a statewide organization of Republican Women which promotes Republican ideals, candidates, and activities. Included are minutes of meetings; and scrapbooks containing newsletters, clippings, photographs, convention materials, and correspondence, all related to the Republican Party in Nevada (1960-1995).
Scope and Contents The records consists mainly of financial information from the treasurer but includes some board meetings, correspondence and a few newsletters.

Overview On October 7, 1982, United States President Ronald Reagan visited the University of Nevada, Reno. This was the first time in the University's history that a sitting President visited the campus and the visit also provided an opportunity for the President to support his party's candidates for office. The collection includes tickets to the event held on the university quadrangle, campus memorandums, news releases and newspaper clippings, an anti-Reagan rally poster, and a commemorative scarf.
