Overview
Paul S. Adamian was a professor of English who joined the University of Nevada faculty as a lecturer in 1966, became an assistant professor in 1968, and was granted tenure in the 1969/70 school year. The collection includes general correspondence, copies of legal records, ephemera, and newspaper clippings, 1970-1979, and materials regarding his teaching appointment at Southern Oregon College prior to becoming faculty at the University of Nevada, 1965-1966.

The collection also contains the University of Nevada System (UNS) Administrative Manual with content from 1969-1972, with a handwritten, January 1973 note on the cover that the UNS Administrative Manual was discontinued and all material was to be incorporated into the UNR Administrative Manual.

The first president of the Alumni Association was Frank H. Norcross. One bound volume containing the original constitution and bylaws of the Alumni Association, as well as the earliest minutes, June 1894 to October 1926.

Nellie Beasley moved to Reno in 1937 and was a championship bowler as well as a participant in northern Nevada women's softball. She taught bowling at Reno Bowl and the Town and Country Bowl and was also a bowling instructor for University of Nevada and area high school students. Her husband, Dr. Bud L.
