Overview Nellie Beasley moved to Reno in 1937 and was a championship bowler as well as a participant in northern Nevada women's softball. She taught bowling at Reno Bowl and the Town and Country Bowl and was also a bowling instructor for University of Nevada and area high school students. Her husband, Dr. Bud L. Beasley (1910-2004), obtained his B.A. (1934), Master of Education, and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Nevada. The Bud Beasley Elementary School in Sparks, Nevada, was named in his honor....
