Abstract Vernie Frazer was a graduate of the Nevada State Normal School, 1900. In 1986, the alumni publication, UNR Times, did a brief article on her 1885 application, at age 15, to enter the university. Photocopies of materials used for the article. These include university records and correspondence, including teaching recommendations. Also a photograph of Frazer and a photograph of the farm where she was raised in Sparks, Nevada. A copy of the UNR Times is included.

Fremont Cannon Collection

Overview The replica Fremont Cannon was donated by the Kennecott Copper Corporation to the University of Nevada on November 26, 1970, in Las Vegas during the homecoming football game between the UNLV Rebels and the UNR Wolf Pack. Getchell Library Building Records

Overview The Getchell Library building served as the third home for the University of Nevada, Reno main library from 1961 until 2008. It was demolished in December 2013 to make room for the new Pennington Student Achievement Center. Collection contains materials relating to the history of the building, including specifications, remodel information, and cornerstone dedication. Abstract Dr. Milton D. Glick was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 30, 1937. He obtained his doctorate degree in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and married Peggy Porter in 1965.
