Central Pacific Railroad Company Records
Central Pacific Railroad was a railroad company which originated in Sacramento and ran east through Nevada. Contains form letters to William Sharon, H. M. Yerington, and Tritle informing them they could obtain a deed for patented land from the Land Agent of the Central Pacific Railroad, March 15, 1877. Also included are a tonnage ledger for lumber hauled, undated, and blank meteorological forms, 1870s.
Robert Lardin Fulton correspondence
Letter to Robert Lardin Fulton, a Nevadan engineer and water expert, from William H. Mills (1885) of the Central Pacific Railroad Company Land Department complaining that the State of Nevada was selling water and land more cheaply than the railroad. Joseph E. Stubbs, president of the University of Nevada, wrote Fulton (1913) praising Fulton's letter about Cleveland philanthropists, Reno, and Nevada; and reported on his wife's busy schedule.
