Lapanta Consolidated Mining Company Records
One of the most important early mines of the Hawthorne, Nevada mining district, mined intermittently for gold by leasers into recent times. H. M. and J. A. Yerington and G. F. Ford were principal officers. Collection contains operational records of the mine including correspondence written and received by the officers, payroll and expense records, memorandum of gold bullion deposited at the Carson City Mint, mining leases, and tax assessments.
Dawn Y. Lappin Wild Horse and Burro Collection
Dawn Y. Lappin (1940-2018) was a wild horse activist working in Nevada and the American West during the 1970s-2010s. The collection includes correspondence, reports, maps, audio-video, and other materials related to wild horse management, conservation, and activism. Also included are records from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and records from the Nevada Wild Horse Commission.

Robert Lewers Papers
Robert Lewers (1862-1922) was a University of Nevada professor and acting president. The collection includes correspondence, Masonic materials, petition urging him to run for governor of Nevada, Lewers family genealogical correspondence, and memorials upon his death. Also included are Louise Lewers' poems and materials related to her work with Nevada cattle brands.
Pat Hardy Lewis Papers
Pat Hardy Lewis was elected to the Reno City Council in 1973 and served until 1977. While serving on the City Council, Lewis was most interested in planning and the use of land for Reno's future. She was a strong proponent of involving citizens in the decision process through the use of ad hoc committees. The collection includes materials related to the subjects of growth, methods of sewage treatment, and planning for the future of Reno, from 1973-1980.

Markleeville Flume Company Records
The Markleeville Flume Company was incorporated in Nevada in 1873, with J. R. Johnson, George Spratt, and H. M. Yerington as trustees and Yerington also serving as president. The company was engaged in cutting and fluming wood on land in Alpine County, California. Collection includes company papers, correspondence, deeds and financial accounts between 1872-1875.
Joseph F. McDonald Papers
Joseph F. McDonald (1891-1971) was a Nevada newspaperman, editor and publisher of the Nevada State Journal, 1939-1956; president of Reno Newspapers Incorporated; and president of the Nevada-California Lake Tahoe Association. The collection contains personal papers, 1911-1970; material related to Reno newspapers, 1928-1963; and records and related material of the Nevada-California Lake Tahoe Association, 1957-1968.
Thomas H. Means Papers
Primarily correspondence between Means and professor Gordon H. True of the University of Nevada-Reno Agricultural Experimental Station regarding the water project. The collection contains material from 1906-1924 created by Thomas H. Means.
